The treatment
Service overview.
Waxing, when done badly, is the reason clients fear waxing. We use a low-temperature, hard wax that grips hair without grabbing skin — meaning no lifting of the top layer, no lingering redness, and no inflamed follicles. The wax is applied in small sections, removed against growth, and the area is finished with a soothing post-wax oil that calms the skin and lifts away residue. It is the only way we've ever waxed, and the only way we recommend it.
Benefits
- —Low-temp hard wax — no skin lifting, minimal redness
- —Smoother regrowth (finer, slower, less ingrown)
- —Precise edges on lip, chin, brow and bikini
- —Sensitive-skin and post-laser friendly
- —Calming post-wax oil included with every service

A barrier oil is applied — this is the secret to wax that grips hair, not skin.

Questions
Frequently asked.
- How long should my hair be for waxing?
- About a quarter inch (6 mm). Too short and the wax can't grip; too long and we'll trim before starting at no extra charge.
- Where can I book waxing near me?
- Waxing is offered at our Montréal studio on Avenue du Mont-Royal.
- Does waxing hurt?
- There's a quick sting in the moment, especially on first visits. Hard wax is significantly gentler than strip wax, and most clients find each subsequent session easier.
- How long does waxing last?
- Two to four weeks, depending on the area and your hair growth cycle. Regular waxing slows regrowth over time.
- Can I wax if I'm on retinol or accutane?
- No — please pause retinoids 5 days before waxing and wait six months after accutane. We may suggest threading or laser instead.
- What about ingrown hairs?
- Exfoliate twice a week starting 48 hours after your wax. We sell an in-house ingrown serum if needed — ask at your visit.
